Privacy Policy
The short version
TIME: A Historical Life has no account system, advertising, or cross-app tracking. Your dynasty and game history stay on your device. TIME collects a limited set of anonymous analytics and sanitized diagnostics to understand reliability and major gameplay milestones.
Information stored on your device
TIME stores your current game, generated characters, choices, and settings in local app storage so play can continue after the app closes. This information is not uploaded to a TIME server. Removing the app or choosing to begin a new life may permanently remove it.
Analytics and crash diagnostics
TIME uses PostHog to receive a random device identifier, app and operating-system version, a small set of authored gameplay milestone identifiers, and sanitized crash stacks. This helps measure whether major systems work and diagnose reliability problems. TIME does not send character names, saved games, generated story text, money, relationships, screenshots, touch recordings, session replay, contact details, advertising identifiers, or precise location.
This data is not linked to an account or used to track you across apps or websites. PostHog processes it in the United States on TIME’s behalf. Gameplay remains fully available offline; analytics and diagnostics are sent only when a network connection is available.
External links
Privacy and support links open in your browser. Your browser and the destination host may process ordinary web request information under their own policies.
Children
TIME is not designed as a children’s app. Its historical stories can include illness, death, warfare, enslavement, alcohol references, and other mature historical themes.
Questions and deletion requests
Because TIME has no accounts and does not collect contact details, analytics cannot normally be connected back to a person. For privacy questions, email addisonghoff@gmail.com.
Changes
Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date before the corresponding app update is released.
